According to their 2021 format sales catalog, they're trying to bring back "Concentration" and "Tic Tac Dough."

But as noted in this follow-up tweet, there's nothing definite yet, they're just shopping the idea around.

Every few years, game shows seem to cycle back in the rotation

I was around for the ‘90s comebacks, and got to know most of the producers from the ‘70s and ‘80s who had gone on to become real estate agents and accountants, but promptly quit those jobs because their passion for the genre was greater than job stability

Interesting. For me, Concentration: Top 5 all time Game Show. Tic Tac Dough: Bottom 5.

I do like "Tic Tac Dough," but I realize that might just be childhood nostalgia. "Tic Tac Dough" and "The Joker's Wild" were the primary trivia-based game shows in the late '70s/early '80s, until "Jeopardy!" came along in 1984.

I didn't realize NBC held the format rights to "Tic Tac Dough," but I assume that goes way back to its origins as one of NBC's prime-time big-money quiz shows in the 1950s.

When the scandal epitomized in "Quiz Show" hit, NBC bought out Barry and Dan Enright. They would later sell "Concentration," originally B-E property, to Goodson-Todman, so that's now Fremantle prop. The later shows they produced were acquired by Sony (GSN) after Enright passed.  B

Also hate Jokers Wild. And for me, Jeopardy! Came along way before 1984...

NBC has always owned "Concentration."  It was licensed in 1973 (under orders from daytime programming chief Lin Bolen to get producer Norm Blumenthal fired for not following her mandates) to Victory Television, who then hired G-T to produce.  The license eventually ran out and Fremantle's BUZZR is paying NBCU for the two versions they run daily.  Some of the first episodes of "Classic Concentration" (Trebek) had the Fremantle vanity card added at the end, but the 70s version has no added vanity card--not even NBCU.

I remember watching the 1990 version with Patrick Wayne, since it aired on the NBC affiliate out of Greenville SC.

But i have seen Wink Martindale host it too, from reruns on GSN. Martindale, by far was the better host.......

The Joker's Wild was on the CBS affiliate in 1990, hosted by Pat Finn, but for the same reasons, Jack Barry was the better host........
