I bought the “best of animal segments” installment of Carson’s Tonight Show on iTunes last week. Me and the Mrs watched it with great amusement. Obviously, Hanna was prominently featured. Good stuff.

I don't think Jack Hanna was ever on the Tonight Show. Mostly just Dave's shows.

You're probably thinking of Jim Fowler. The only animal clips I see from Johnny are Fowler and Joan Embery.

Current and hopefully final tally is 101 plus a few references (viewer mails, Chris Elliott segments, etc.). Considering the size and number of needed conversions (aspect ratios, diluting WPI watermarks , redoing some DVD—> mp4 files, plus cataloguing each appearance’s animals), it looks like this’ll take at least a week or two to prepare for YT uploads. In lord knows yet how many parts.

Doing it for Jack and his family. Not directly — they don’t know me nor have any reason to — but I think it’ll be good for them.
