WBD Split Now Has Official Names

The division containing the Warner Bros. studio, DC, HBO and HBO Max (and I believe TCM) will be known as Warner Bros. under Daddy Zaslav, while the division with the rest of the cable channels (including CNN) and the Discovery+ streamer will be known as Discovery Global and run by chronic cost cutter Gunnar Wiedenfels--good luck CNN:

And seriously, why is Zazlav staying with WB instead of going back to Discovery? Hasn't he done enough damage?

They’ve isolated what they consider to be the chaff, content to let CNN and the rest die. The Warner side of things is also dying… it’s just dying at a slower rate than the Discovery side. Assuming Zaz will bail Warner before CPR needs to be administered.

So in the end, there will probably be one or two fewer news outlets than the current CNN, MSNBC, and CBS News. 

The question is who will merge with who. 

And does CNN still get to rerun the current week’s Bill Maher episode (uncensored, I might add).
