CBS' election studio being built at 1515 B'way

The "Viacom" building in Times Square, a first for the address. Former CNN Wa(r)shington bureau chief David Bohrman (he of the Magic Wall) will be the coverage's exec. Expect major technological bells and whistles.

It might be a first for news coverage, but 1515 Broadway was the home for MTV's studio shows (most notably, TRL) for a dog's age.

Also, it should be interesting to see what efforts they go to in order to obscure ABC's operations, directly across Times Square.

Remembering on my trips to New York hearing the screaming fans in front of the Viacom building while "TRL" was on from a block away.  Will the Trumpers be outside that night ready to boo Norah and Gayle?

And since there will be idiots in Times Square on New Year's Eve unless they can completely shut it down, will Colbert and/or British Jimmy do their New Year's Eve show from 1515 Broadway looking out at Seacrest, Carson the Tool and the two Andys?

All of the pictures that I've seen make it look like it's a larger version of the Evening News/Face the Nation set and won't have any of Times Square visible from inside the studio, so all they need to do is keep their outdoor cameras pointed towards 1515 Broadway. I have a suspicion that this is partly born out of skittishness at having too many people at the Broadcast Center on 57th Street.

I assume ABC won't be originating from Times Square and will instead be using the same setup in the newly-renovated World News (Tonight) studio that they've been using for primaries and debates.
