The streaming-news venture's already opened NY and LA outlets, is well on the way to opening Boston and Bay Area feeds, and says the other nine O&Os will be up and at'em next year.

I was looking for a local news app for my phone as I ended my print subscription to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and I'm locked out of their website due to ad blocker/paywall issues (depending on the device). The NBC and ABC affiliates have standalone apps while the CBS O&O only had the CBS Local app. Now I know why.
