My first knowledge of him was in the title role as car-thief-turned-lawyer "Kaz" in the 70s... but he'd already have a decent film résumé by then, which he'd add to with TV roles, such as Jen Aniston's father on "Friends" and the doctor who tended to Tony after Junior shot him on "The Sopranos," and getting a Tony Award as Roy Cohn in "Angels in America"...
