"Emily in Paris," the Darren Star sitcom about a perky-ugly American in Paris, has received a two-season pickup from Netflix that'll get it to four total--they claim it's their most popular comedy series, despite the bad critical notices and all of the claims of hate-watching from Twitterland:

yes, it's typical Darren Star content.... but most of our house likes it.     If you like it, and want other similar stuff, try Younger on Amazon Prime.

I’m a little skeptical of people who claim to hate watch Emily. The locations are fun for American tourist types, the French characters are interesting, and Emily, for all her White girl perkinesses, is at least as likable as she is annoying. 

It’s not art, but there is a lot worse on Netflix.
