Pioneering female director of a large stack of TV projects, including the 80s/90s Star Trek series (TNG/DS9/VOY) and many for Aaron Spelling, who didn't even bother viewing the demo reels she'd brought to a meeting with him... he just asked "Can you [g.d.] direct?" to which she said "[G.d.], yes!" Before her passing, she was working on an adaptation of a novel by Daphne du Maurier, her cousin...
