I wonder if it was an obit that was already in the file.

Peter Bart during his stint pretty much cleared out the use of Varietyese in his publication (the subject of a song by Yakko, Wakko and Dot Warner on "Animaniacs"). So I assume that we will not be seeing anything about boffo B.O. in the nabes anytime soon.
