Some you'd expect ("Survivor," "60 Minutes"), some you might not (original "NCIS", "CSI Vegas")...

And one of them is "Lingo," which has wasted the numbers of the lead-in of "The Price is Right at Night" every week that it had that lead-in.  Seems to me that RuPaul owes Drew Carey a steak dinner at Morton's and that CBS and Fremantle should be talking about making the "Price" prime time edition a regular weekly series instead of a series of specials.

The writer pointed out “East New York” has not been renewed, and it’s the only thing I routinely watch on CBS.

I don’t dislike Lingo, but you can’t binge watch it, because Ru only has four jokes and they get reused every episode… usually twice an episode. But the gameplay is fun.

I feel like at this point, NCIS has murdered more Navy personnel than the Japanese at Pearl Harbor, and it might be time to hang it up.

CSI didn’t need to come back. It certainly doesn’t need to stay.

CBS also hasn't pulled the trigger on a renewal for "Blue Bloods", which is surprising considering how well it does in what could be called the Friday Night Death Slot (10pm E/P). Sure, it's not exactly bringing in younger viewers, but it's a solid performer that consistently beats anything ABC or NBC throws at it.

The longer a series like that runs, the more the talent demands to keep going on the show. With 2013 salaries the show might make financial sense but not with 2023 salaries.

They might also be waiting for Selleck to decide whether he wants to continue.

Sure, but this is a sweet gig for Selleck - he gets to sit in a chair, glare meaningfully at his co-stars, and occasionally eat a nice meal.  Plus, this reverse mortgage commercials aren't exactly a big payday...
