Two companies, contending to have acquired the talent agency that repped Winkler-Rich when they produced the '80s series with Paramount, also argue an agreement between W-R and the studio provided for "spinoff series" from any properties made under it, entitling the talent agency to commissions... CBS, all this time later, responded, saying the 2016 version is a "remake," not a spinoff... the case goes to trial June 7th.

I'm guessing COVID/other factors have put off the trial till this April, and the judge turned down a summary-judgment motion from CBS...
