*It's "Kelly Clarkson," but... Toks Olagundoye, who'd had double mastectomy after only filming three episodes of the first season, got the phone call she'd long feared from K. Grammer, only to hear "‘I know how actors think, I want to let you know this is your family, you’re not getting fired, we’re going to do whatever we need to do to make you feel comfortable."

Nice story, especially the way Grammer phrased it: “I know how actors think…”. 

It seems to me the gift here was Grammer giving reassurance to an actor at a difficult and vulnerable time in their life, and I applaud his thoughtfulness. But actually not firing her for having breast cancer or surgery can’t be something to applaud him for. Are there examples, even in horrible Hollywood, of that happening? Could that possibly be legal?
