Implied in this is the notion that Jeff Daniels has been in heavy rotation on whatever passes for the cognoscenti circuit these days, or at least makes frequent non-promotional appearances on the cable news shows, late night shows, and podcasts. I don't sense this to be the case -- am I wrong?
A single in-depth interview on a podcast by Nicholle Wallace doesn't strike me as overstaying his welcome or operating outside his area of expertise, which is five decades of honing actorly observation and character development. I'm not as excited about his singing and songwriting, but I subject people to really bad puns, so none of us perfect, I guess.
