Said Joe Flint at WSJ, hearing from sources... a consultant tells him it would not hurt Peacock, from which plenty of its content would be... they're likely preparing for the distinct possibility that after Versant swipes all those channels like USA, they wouldn't have enough bandwidth to carry wide-ranging stuff such as NASCAR and the Olympics...

In other words, NBC committed to the Olympics, but on reflection can’t see how to actually profit from it

NBCSN 2.0 appears to be a go, as a new deal announced with Youtube TV and NBCU (part of which might or might not be honoured by Versant when the spinoff occurs) includes it... the deal also adds Peacock's fare to the separate Youtube Primetime Channels, which already incorporates other streamers' content, and extends its availability through Android platforms Google Play/Google TV:

But the as-yet-unchosen NFL game the weekend after Christmas that is held by Peacock will not be available on Youtube TV, altho as of now only John Ourand at Puck reported it (monitored by Sports Media Watch [link])...     B

Dan Patrick, on his talk show today, could openly admit that the returned channel would carry apparently all the daily content of Peacock's "NBCSports NOW" FAST channel, also available on smart TVs and Roku Channel, including said talk show... other items on it include Mike Florio's ProFootballTalk programs, ex-ESPNer Dan Le Batard, and something called "Enjoy Basketball"... and that it would (re)launch Monday (11/17); THR confirms, adding that yes, Major League Baseball games will be "announced soon" as another component...
