The Center for American Rights wants an FCC investigation of alleged liberal bias on the five remaining late-night shows--has anyone told these morons that these are entertainment shows, not news shows, and while we're at it, have they ever seen Colbert's impersonation of Biden as a doddering old man?:

I'm going to say it--Paramount is going to not renew Stewart's contract in December and then they will fire everyone else from "TDS," announce that they either got Gutfeld to move from Fox or a Theo Von or Shane Gillis or Tony Hinchcliffe, restaff it with rightwingers, rename it "The New American Daily Show," start it on COM in January and if they're lucky either move it or repeat it on CBS starting in June after Colbert leaves. It's going to happen.

Putting aside the questions about Stewart's contract, wouldn't he be largely untouchable by the FCC, since he's on basic cable?  (In much the same way that they couldn't go after John Oliver or Roy Wood, Jr.?)

In theory, the FCC could threaten the licenses of the CBS owned-and-operated TV stations over anything that happens on one of Paramount's cable networks.

There are legal groups that file suits often to see if courts are willing to make policy. In today’s world nobody can predict how a court is going to rule even if precedent has gone one way through history.

The felon-in-chief doesn’t bother using the law to get what he wants. That would be bordering on fighting fair.

If they wanted Stewart gone, he’d be gone.
