Self-proclaimed "MAGA girl" Gabrielle Cuccia, a freelance right wing pundit once photographed carrying a gun, was hired by the rightwing channel as Pentagon correspondent after Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth took a press office at the Pentagon away from NBC and gave it to OAN--Cuccia then wrote on her private Substack a screed criticizing Hegseth and the press office for very tight restrictions made on the media while in the building, more or less saying "deep state"--OAN fired her a few days later:
