WBD to Spin Off Cable Channel

Following NBCUniversal's move with what is now called Versant, Warner Bros. Discovery is planning to spin off its cable channels save HBO into a separate company, the better to separate from a dying business--Daddy Zaslav's henchman Gunnar Wiedenfels will run the spinoff company, currently known as Global Networks, while Zaslav will run the rest of WBD--they're shooting for a completion date of mid-2026:

As indicated, CNN will be part of the Global Networks company. I would assume that any attempt to sell the channel off to anyone except an avowed rightwinger would be contested by Trump.
