From May 8, 2010 with Jay-Z as musical guest.

I was prompted by tonight's repeat to see what the brain trust here thought of it the first time around.

Some liked it, others considered it the best of the season (which wasn't saying much), and some hated it.

So, almost the standard reaction.

I have the last half hour yet to watch, but I'm comfortable suggesting that some sketches (and Update jokes) have not aged well, unlike Ms. White.  And while I am far from a fan of hip-hop, Jay-Z's material has definitely aged well.

Apparently nobody informed the commercial-switching elves at WSAZ of the change in episodes. Multiple sketches were interrupted with local ads.

I'd assume the interruptions were some act of self-preservation, given how awful the sketches were.

2010 was not a felicitous year for the show, either cast- or writing-wise.
