The sister of a Marine killed in Afghanistan, to whom Alec gave $5k to pass on to the soldier's widow, was in DC for the Jan 6th protest... despite being nowhere near the Capitol due to the sheer number of people, and being cleared by the Feds, she still got ripped by private message, and later on Instagram, by the actor... she's seeking $25mil...

I would call anyone who attended the 1/6/21 Trump Rally a participant in insurrection, even if not legally guilty of a crime. It was not a “Protest”, it was an attempt to push a lie in an effort to overturn the 2020 Presidential election.

I've never been a supporter of either party, at least for the last 20 years, but I do regret the use of "protest" only because far-more-disgusting words to describe it don't seem to come to me at the time I need them.  Also, F*x was the first place I found a link to it, howbeit from Twitter.    B
