They even include A.I. Al Michaels with a daily recap on Peacock (did I report on that earlier?)... and while Bravo and Oxygen are being left out of the network complement, E! isn't (they drew breakdancing)...

First, I think this is great, and really appreciate being able to watch all events live or on my own delay via Peacock. But I do have a few peeves that I am hoping they will fix:

1. During the US Team Trials, and currently during Tour De France, it can be difficult to view an event on a short delay. If you click on event say 90 minutes after it starts, you are automatically connected to the event in progress (unlike, say YouTubeTV, which asks you if you want to join live, or start from beginning). You can mute the volume and avert your eyes and rewind (though rewinding itself is cumbersome on Peacock), but there is a limit on how much if the event they have in their buffer - it seems to be max of about 2-2.5 hours. If you want to watch a 5 hour event in its entirety, but want to start 3 hours after it started, you will not be able to. You would have to wait 1-3 hours after the event is over u til they make available what they call the “Replay”.

2. The Peacock  sports hub has live event options on the top row, then highlights from those events, then Replays. It is not uncommon for there to be spoilers visible from the Hub about winners and losers that you can not really avoid when looking for the replays. I would prefer a layout where you can navigate directly to a “Replays” section which would have a menu for all available events, without any possible spoilers.

That's generous of them... when I wholly or partly miss The Dan Patrick Show (live 9AM-12N east) due to health or business appointments, it'll be 4PM till I can catch an interactive replay...     B

But, as I say, on YoutubeTV, or any decent cable system, you could watch from the start any live sporting event with whatever delay you want immediately.

Is there some technical reason that YoutubeTV can do this and Peacock can’t?
