'Schmigadoon!' Coming to Broadway

The theatrical version of the first season of the AppleTV+ musical parody series had a run last year at the Kennedy Center before Trump took it over--it's scheduled to open at the Nederlander (where roast comic Jeff Ross' one-man show is currently bombing) on Apr. 20 under the wire for the Tonys and run through the summer--no indication if any of the TV cast will appear--and yes, like the series, Lorne's the producer:

If Trump‘s takeover of the Kennedy Center resulted in a shutdown of Schmigadoon, then in 100 years school, children will be reading in their history books in that very short chapter on the accomplishments of the Trump administration: 1: developed the Covid vaccine in record time, Although he was too stupid To either take credit for it or fully implement it; 2: Shut down Schmigadoon.

I’m a fan of Martin Short when he is outlandish and bizarre, so I really wanted to like this series, but I gave up after season one.
