When I was a boy we had an album called You Don't Have to be Jewish. It was comedy sketches from old Jews mostly and I wouldn't be surprised if most of the material was originally in Yiddish. Lou Jacobi and Jack Gilford were the recognizable male voices and Betty Walker and Arlene Golonka were the two females. I must have listened to that album a hundred times and that is still the only thing I know Arlene Golonka from.

We also had this album in my family growing up (my aunts and mother, all newly arrived in Southern California from NYC when I was around 3, could be heard yelling “Momma, what am I going to do?” at random moments, then cracking up hysterically.
