WD and Conan

I defer to the brain trust to chide me if this has already been answered, but I am wondering if all of these changes with what was/is Time Warner means that Conan's already delayed weekly show on HBOMax is probably never going to see the light of day?  My sense is that it becomes more and more likely, but I have not read anything one way or the other.  If a decision has been made, iI don't think it's been publicized by Team Conan.

Conan seems busy with the burgeoning collection of podcasts Team Conan has developed over the last 5 years or so.

Without having seen this unproduced show, I have no idea if I would like it or miss it.  But I was under the impression that Conan Beyond Borders was going to continue, and I would be disappointed if it did not.  They were not always gems, but they played to Conan's strengths in remote segments.

My guess is that “Conan Beyond Borders” is a victim — maybe temporary, maybe permanent — of the pandemic, and the potential difficulties of crossing borders and producing the remote segments on a relatively small budget.

Update: a former "Conan" writer tweeted "now that the actual Conan O'Brien is dead and has been replaced with a podcasting replicant," so we can assume there has been zero news about a possible scripted TV show for which Conan might be rehiring some writers: https://twitter.com/skyler_higley/status/1556647381898346496

Also, I realize it should have been "Conan Without Borders."

I have severe doubts about the scripted project, but “…Without Borders”, or something like it, seems very on brand for the new HBOMaxDiscovery hybrid streamer, and relatively inexpensive, even with the travel.

Conan has mentioned in his podcasts shooting segments for the future show, sometimes on the fly with a cell phone camera, but it’s at least in pre-production.
