Saw it. It was critically panned as “not as good as M*A*S*H” but was still better then a lot of other sitcoms fare at the time.

I remember seeing some of it.  Probably just part of the first season, as the second season description on the Wiki rings absolutely no bells.  It didn't stick with me.  I'm pretty sure when Rosalind Chao/Soon-Lee first appeared on Star Trek: The Next Generation, I was thinking M*A*S*H rather than AfterM*A*S*H

I concur. I wanted to like it, but it was just boring. Of course, I can no longer tolerate laugh tracks, to the original MASH doesn't do much for me.

One of the great things about the Mash DVDs is the ability to play the episodes without laugh track. It's night and day.

Like Steve and PGage, I might have seen one or two episodes and didn't care for it. Dad or mom may have seen a few more; they always liked the colonel.

My significant memory of it was that they learned my grandmother (mom's side) had passed away during one episode.

One of the weird things about MASH is that in the UK, it was never broadcast with a laugh track. So those DVDs replicate the British experience.Seeing MASH *with* a laugh track feels like a very alien experience - and I speak as someone who only occasionally watched the show.

The MASH laugh track was an alien experience for US audiences as well...

I saw it at the time and it wasn’t memorable.

Also, the entire W*A*L*T*E*R pilot is available on the toobs. Since it’s now we’ll known that he intentionally tanked his last M*A*S*H episode, I’m surprised that he wanted to continue as the character.

It seems to me that if SundanceTV wants to rerun "MASH," they should do it without the laugh track.  Of course, they acquired the show before Disney acquired it, so now maybe they have no choice.  I do know that AMC Networks is doing its own captioning and similar to what they did when IFC ran "The IT Crowd," they're actually captioning "[audience laughter]" whenever it comes in--something no other captioner ever does for sitcoms, with the exception of "It's Garry Shandling's Show."
