Shows with school shooting related storylines are getting pulled in the aftermath of the events in Texas. 

Won’t somebody please think of Dick Wolf?!

I'm beginning to believe that one of the Santa Fe High victims is a child of a friend of one of my social-media friends.     B

You’re looking at an article from 2018 that was following a shooting at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Texas (in the Houston area).

This week’s school shooting was at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas (San Antonio is the nearest major city). Although I’m sure people this week have made the same suggestion about limiting doors at schools that Dan Patrick made in 2018. So we’ll see if we can finally get some door control legislation passed.

If we ban doors, only criminals will have doors

Thanks... I had seen multiple references in my travels to Santa Fe, but only one report from Uvalde (on the NBC News Now channel at Peacock)

Still, I wonder if an Uvalde victim had fewer than six degrees from my friend...     B

As I’ve said on my social media, now that I’m back teaching again, and teaching the same ages as the children who were massacred last night, this shooting is especially tough. I don’t know any of the victims or their families, but I very easily could. 

Had a situation a few months ago where I had to remove a potentially violent person off of our campus. That should not be a teacher’s responsibility, but I could not risk the alternative.
