Peter Sagal made a joke about Volodymyr Zelenskyy's previous career last Saturday on "Wait, Wait...Don't Tell Me!", to a mixed reaction from the Atlanta theater audience and his panel and a typically-angry reaction from NPR listeners--the Poynter team that now handles NPR's ombud duties get to the bottom of it:

I think its relevant to note, having been to a few live tapings of "Wait, Wait..." that Sagal is perfectly comfortable with saying the occasional groaner and has no issues going after an audience like a warm-up comic if the audience isn't into the show.
