This week marks another run with the squeeze during the first Late Show break. It started on Monday, and as before, only lasts for the first part of the commercial break.
I still can't think of another instance of this kind of squeeze on a non-sports program.
Is it possible this is some kind of way to extract additional ad dollars from advertisers? Or is this a variation on 'make goods' for programs that don't deliver on expected viewership? Either explanation to me seems off, but I don't work in this area.
