A stage manager for much of his career, including multiple Broadway smashes, he didn't get into acting till past the age of 60... he'd had decent mileage in TV and films when David Chase came calling with the role most know him for today, Hesh Rabkin on "The Sopranos"... other roles included on "The Good Wife," "Rescue Me," "Northern Exposure," and "Mad About You"... Saturday in NYC; 96.

He portrayed a memorable character on The Sopranos, for sure.
