1. Brent (9-2, 87 PR)
2. Pez (9-2, 80 PR)
3. Watson (8-3, 51)
4. Hanson (7-4, 70)
5. Veen (7-4, 66)
6. Chris (5-6, 51)
---------------------------------
7. Seth (6-5, 84)
8. Jim (5-6, 58)
9. Sean (4-7, 33)
10. Chu (3-8, 62)
11. Bill (2-9, 47)
12. Kyle (1-10, 37)

(Bold is division leaders)

Going to be a tight race this year for the playoffs, here we go with scenarios:

Brent - 1-1 record clinches a bye
Pez - 1-1 would also clinch a bye
Watson - need 2-0 and either Brent/Pez to go 0-2 to get a bye.  1-1 record would clinch a playoff spot.  Due to crazy low PR, 0-2 could leave him out of playoffs as doesn't hold PR tiebreaker on Hanson, Veen or Seth
Hanson - Can clinch playoffs with 2-0 record.  1-1 gets him in if Seth loses 1 OR Veen loses 1 and doesnt make up PR difference
Veen - Can clinch with a 2-0 record.  1-1 gets him in if Seth loses 1 OR if Hanson loses 1 and the PR advantage.
Chris - 2-0 and he clinches division(only path is division title).  1-1 and a loss by Sean also gets him in.
Seth - Due to Seth playing Hanson, 2-0 gets Seth into playoffs.  1-1 gets him in if Veen or Hanson go 0-2.
Jim - Due to division records, Jim is eliminated from division title even if he goes 2-0.  Only shot at wildcard is Hanson AND Veen going 0-2 AND making up PR difference on both.
Sean - Only path to playoffs is division title.  Needs to go 2-0 with Reiff at 1-1, or beat Chu (to get division record up) and have Reiff go 0-2
Chu - Very slim at division title includes going 2-0 AND Reiff 0-2 AND Sean 1-1 or worse
Bill - Only shot at top pick is going 0-2 AND Kyle winning 1 and making up PR difference, or Kyle going 2-0
Kyle - Gets top pick with 0-2 record OR 1-1 and maintains a worse PR than Bill

1. Brent (10-2, 93 PR)
2. Pez (10-2, 82 PR)
3. Watson (9-3, 58)
4. Veen (8-4, 77)
5. Seth (7-5, 94)
6. Chris (5-7, 56)
---------------------------------
7. Hanson (7-5, 74)
8. Jim (5-7, 67)
9. Chu (4-8, 70)
10. Sean (4-8, 36)
11. Bill (2-10, 48)
12. Kyle (1-11, 37)

Have two win and in games this week (Hanson-Seth, Chu-Reiff) as well as the PR title up for grabs, cant ask for much more than that in the final week.

Brent - Clinched bye.  Win clinches regular season title.  Can win PR title by beating Seth by 2 PR for the PR title
Pez - Clinched bye.  Win AND Brent loss clinches regular season title
Watson - Clinched playoff spot, gets 3 seed with a W OR a Veen loss
Veen - Clinched playoff spot, can be seed 3-5 yet
Seth - Win and in, lose and out.  Wins PR title by only losing 1 PR win to Brent but staying within 23 points of him (yes, our PR title winner could miss the playoffs)
Chris - Win and in, lose and out
Hanson -  Win and in, lose and out
Chu - Win and in, lose and out
Jim - Eliminated from playoffs
Sean - Eliminated
Bill - Locked into #2 pick
Kyle - Locked into #1 pick

Congrats to Brent on the PR title and regular season title, holding on over Seth by 1 PR win.  Playoff bracket looks like this:
1. Brent - bye
2. Pez - bye
3. Veen vs 6. Reiff
4. Watson vs 5. Hanson

Top 6 picks in next years draft are:
1. Kyle
2. Bill
3. Chu
4. Sean
5. Jim
6. Seth

Good luck to all!

Playoffs have ended, and despite a flop from M Boone/DJ Moore and a late massive push from Aaron Jones, I was able to take home the title over Watson.  Final playoff standings are:
1st - Veen
2nd- Watson
3rd - Brent

Next years draft order (determines divisions as well) looks like this:
1. Kyle
2. Bill
3. Chu (needs new owner)

4. Sean
5. Jim
6. Seth
7. Reiff
8. Hanson (needs new owner)
9. Pez
10. Brent
11. Watson
12. Veen (needs new owner)

Channeling my inner Peyton Manning/John Elway and going out on top, I will be retiring from TUFL this year.  Dont have the same interest level in football that I used too and with multiple original owners leaving this year, just doesn't hold the "keep in touch" appeal it used to for me.  So that begs a question, with Hanson and I having created and maintained the TFC website, we are willing to hand over the code/database and website to anyone that wishes to take it over and keep the four leagues going.  I'm willing to help whoever it is get it set up and running and explain some of the back end maintenance as well.  Believe the current hosting contract expires late February, so have a fairly specific deadline before the site comes down.
Thanks all for the memories and hours of entertainment,
Veen

A well earned victory!

Appreciate all you and Josh have done to make this league possible.

Letting everyone know as well that I am hanging it up this year as well! It’s been a ton of fun, and I appreciate you all letting me be a part.

Well I guess this is as good a time as any...

After 11 seasons of really mediocre performance and 1 playoff appearance, I too, will be retiring from TUFL competition.  It really has been a lot of fun, but like a lot of you, I’m not as invested in the NFL as I once was. Plus, you know, kids and stuff.

Well done, Paul. It's fitting that you should win in your final year as you've put in so much work to make this league a possibility. Thank you! And thank you as well, Josh. It's been really enjoyable for me to be a part of this journey.

I might be the only one left standing from the original group! And so I too will now step away. Adios todos!

For those who are leaving, You can see the attached spreadsheet to see any amounts to be paid out.

If the league dissolves then I'll return the $20 that has been paid for 2020 picks.

If Spencer (Roomie!) carries the league forward, then the fee will stay with the league going forward to future years.

If someone is ready to be paid out, please let me know how you would like to receive payment, 3 options.

1. Venmo (send me your user id in e-mail)
2. Check (I'll cut check and have sent direct via mail to address you provide in e-mail from my bank)
3. Have a friend pay you, and I'll pay them via one of the options above. I know there are a handful of ya'll who have paid dues in similar way, just make sure to e-mail with the details of who is paying who so I can adjust accordingly.

Aaron and I with the help of a friend of Aaron’s are going to keep this going.  Please reply if you are interested in staying.  Obviously we are going to recruit new people for sure….just need to know how many.  I would imagine we will start fresh with teams but maybe not depending on how those that stick around want to work it.

If people were down to change up the format and do a startup draft, I could get us to 12 pretty quickly.

By format change I mean at least .5 PPR, adding a flex or two, maybe 2QB, maybe TE premium.

I’m in an experimental mode if you are!

-I’m interested in remaining in the league
-At this point I think it’s best to start from scratch and vote on brand new rules for the league (like what Aaron mentioned, for roster configuration and points than holdout rules...etc)
-in terms of timing for a draft, I’d need to draft no later than early August.
-I also might co-manage a team with my brother or a friend

Thanks

My pitch (as we debate a new rules format) is designed to elevate all positions to equivalent value (or closer to it), as well as to just provide more ways to win and build a roster:

.5 PPR
TE premium (1 pt per reception for TEs only)
Start: 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 1 TE
Start: 3 flex positions (RB, TE, WR)
Start: 1 Superflex (QB, RB, TE, WR)

No kicker, no defense.

28 roster spots (25 min), $600 cap (to make it similar to our other leagues).

Auction start up would be 25 spots, with a waiver period or two before the season.

For rookies, I think I like assigning a draft order that is the inverse amount of $$ you spent at the auction. Rewards frugality with the higher pick.

The other option is including rookies in the auction, but boy do values get inflated quickly. Which I’m also fine with, but I do like the idea of rookie contracts.

I’d also pitch a rule change around holdouts: a player cannot hold out until the end of their second season (no rookie holdouts). Mirrors NFL somewhat (no contract negotiations until year 3) and protects guys who draft well at least for a year.

HAVE AT IT!!
