Yes, it was a glorious blue sky white cloud morning .. til 1pm or so .. take those breaks in the rain .. plus the Kingfisher !!   thx for sharing, Mike

I was so happy to have joined you!  It was my first T4B walk since pre-pandemic, and I couldn't resist since Temescal is my neighborhood patch!  So great to have heard the kingfisher--did the group actually see the bird at the end of the walk?  Sorry I had to leave early.  I will keep my eye out for future walks that are relatively close so I can get there by 7:30. 

It's such a friendly and knowledgeable group!!!

Great to meet you, Debby, and yes we did get to see the Kingfisher finally in

the last minutes in a tree in the reeds. Must have been tired from all the flying

it had done that am .. as it was quietly sitting in the tree for at least 10-15 mins 

that we got everyone to see it. Also in the last minutes one of the many Ruby

crowned kinglets that we heard all morning was seen well by the few of us left

at that time, foraging in the downed willow by the bridge near the redwood trees

and pond that empties into the lake. ..Why we get up so early .. the payoff very

sweet.  Sue
