The default user is 'admin' not 'tryton'. The password is the one
entered after the initialisation of the database with trytond-admin.

Whoopee, that did the trick.

Slightly off topic: I allow myself to believe that this is not very well documented … at least it is not in the right place (there is a note at the very end of the tryton-server.README.SUSE. file which to me seems only useful if you know exactly what you are looking for and where. That’s hardly ever the case if running into problems).

Off topic: A piece of good advice can be found in the article „Designing for People Who Have Better Things To Do With Their Lives“ by Joel Spolsky: “1. Users don’t have the manual, and if they did, they wouldn’t read it. 2. In fact, users can’t read anything, and if they could, they wouldn’t want to.” Ok, by making people stop reading documentations and eventually make them find solutions on stackoverflow (managed by Spolsky) might be just a smart move but I think he’s got a point.)

Could you provide us the exact URL?

https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file/Application:ERP:Tryton:Factory/gnuhealth/GNUHealth.README.SUSE?expand=1; also available in the documentation folder shipped with the gnuhealth files on opensuse. See also: /usr/share/doc/packages/trytond/tryton-server.README.SUSE.

PS: Please follow the netiquette […]. http://groups.tryton.org/netiquette

Completely off topic: Excuse my snotty remark: The netiquette you mentioned… really? I find it painstakingly full of clichés. However, disregarding those guidelines was not my intention … I was just leaving room for improvement. :-)
