Unable to populate pricelist

Hi ,

Can any one help me on the following

Topic:1

1. I created a party, service type product for carrier and given price list to carrier based on weight.

following are the carrier details

Carrier cost allocation method: By Value

Carrier cost method: Weight

Weight Uom: Gram

2. I created sales order for one product and given the carrier but the cost couldn't populate as per the price list settings.It showing cost as 0.00 and the field was editable.

From above i would like to know that,  how the pricelists in carrier are working , and is it  recommended to give carrier cost in sales order manually  or any choice to populate the cost of carrier based on sales line quantity ?

Topic :2 

1.I created price list for a product and kept active.

2.During creation of sales order i selected the above price list but the price doesn't populate as mentioned in the price list.

So here I would like to know how the pricelist functionality working and is there any settings to effect our pricelist.

Could you please help me on this.
