Manual says for Journal Type http://doc.tryton.org/4.0/trytond/trytond/modules/account/doc/index.html?highlight=journal%20types: 
  • Type: By default take one of the following values: General, Revenue, Expense, Cash, Situation.
What does Situation Type represent here?

This is usually used to import existing balance from previous system.
