Greensboro Community Bike Shop - soft opening

If you have ever wondered what the Greensboro Community bike shop is, or wonder where lots of used bikes go, come check out our first commercial space. I am pretty sure this is the first not for profit Bicycle related organization to have a retail space In Greensboro.

Since our space was condemned at Barber Park in February, we have been preparing our new space and transitioning our operations to 720 West Market St (parking at 814 West Market Street or across Market Street at the old Wraver Academy parking lot). Although we are not ready for a lot of retail sales, fundraising or hosting events, we are ready to start fixing the over 70 bicycles that have been given to us in the past two months. 

Please come by on Sunday, July 5, between one and four and check out our space, work with one of our Bike Mechanics, or teach our Bike Mechanics how to do something more efficiently. We have the bike repair stands, the tools and the bicycles to fix.  All you need to bring is a willingness to learn or help out. 

Feel free to stop by for five minutes or three hours. We will have two tents set up out front plus the awnings so people can either be socializing or fixing additional bikes outside.

We plan to have snacks and drinks available.
