GTP-U Issues

I am having a similar issue to Cansin. I am trying to send GTP-U traffic through a DUT (stateful firewall). I have two servers each with 100 Gbps Bluefield-2 NICS connected back to back. Normal TREX tests are working great but when I try GTP-U I am seeing the SYN packet then retransmission errors.

I am using a default trex_cfg.yaml and running the following commands from teh scripts directory

$   sudo ./t-rex-64 -i --astf --gtpu 0 

$   python3 -m astf.gtp_orig.py

The program gtp_orig.py is a slightly modified version of tunnel_test.py (attached). Also attached is the RX pcap.

Any suggestions or help would be most appreciated.

Hi everyone,

I faced a similar issue. Did anyone found a solution for this particular problem? 

Here is the commands i used to send GTP-U traffic in ASTF mode:

• ./t-rex-64 -i --astf --software --tso-disable

        ./trex-console -s 127.0.0.1
               tunnel --type gtpu
               tunnels_topo load -f astf/gtpu_topo.py
               start -f astf/http_simple.py

try to capture the traffic, the server does not get the syn packet for some reason, try to understand why

Hi,

I connected two ports of TREX to each other and there is no DUT in between (loopback mode). I captured packets on both ports using service mode and attached the file.
