Group,

Does anyone know how to clean the freshwater holding tank?
Can you put bleach in or tablets? And is there an access hole other than where the hose connects to it?
Any info is appreciated.

Thank you!

Some have put a little bleach. You can pour bleach in your house and then fill the tank.

Connect your hose to bus. At the other end pour bleach and connect to faucet. Ernie

I periodically remove the element from my external filter, fill the canister with bleech, recap it and put the bleech in an empty tank, which I fill. I start the pump and run the hot and cold water on every outlet, including the washer until I smell bleech, and let it sit for 4 hours. More than 4 and the bleech can damage seals and washers. After 4 hours, I totally drain and refill the tank. Adding white vinegar the same way the bleech was added helps remove the chlorine oder. Run the hot and cold faucets until you smell vinegar. Drain and refill again and you should be good to go. I know this uses a lot of water, but it cleans and removes bacteria from the tank.

Use unscented Clorox. About one cup per 100 gallons.

Good luck. Make sure that after you bleech and latter the vinegar in the tank you completely fill the tank so the teated water will contact all sides of the tank to kill any bacteria.
