Hi John,

Welcome to the Twin Cities.  You picked an exciting moment.

This group has mostly faded away since the busy times after the Great Recession.  There was even a Cold Climate Permaculture Research Institute once, but it has also folded.  https://www.facebook.com/PRIColdClimate/

The Transition Group in St. Anthony Park  https://www.transitionasap.org/  is still active and hosts book groups, talks, investing discussions, etc.

There are a lot of people who have done research into solar, local investing,housing cooperatives, farmsteading, home renovations, etc,  Just post your interest and some might chime in.
