Today's pics show a couple of Z3s on the new tracks near the corner of
Williamson Rd and the Wests Rd reserve at Maidstone.
165 is seen coming out of the reserve on its way to Footscray. The btrac
running off to the left is the new connection to Maidstone depot.
205 is seen heading north on the curve in the reserve track where the
new alignment connects with the existing track which runs along the
western side of the reservation.
he Z3s are the only class of tram used in regular traffic on routes 57
and 82. In a year's time they will begin to be replaced as the G class
enter service.
