Photos of SW6.915, now out the front of Taxibox (self-storage place), 114 Boundary Rd, Braeside (east side of road, just south of White St).

Route number display at west end is somewhat tilted but tram is otherwise in good condition, with poles and trucks.  Paintwork (1980s Met livery with trefoil logo) is a bit faded and tram is exposed to weather (no shelter).  Brown and yellow band below roofline is a sticker of a football scarf, decorated with words 'The Met - part of Melbourne, part of football' - one of a number of swiftly abandoned and somewhat pathetic advertising gimmicks applied to trams back in the late 1980s / early 90s (remember Sam the Tram?).  Small sign on west end apron warns of asbestos.  Advertising panels are new, relating to Taxibox.

Again, thanks for the pics Alan.

What is the tram used for? I can understand the tram at the school – I suppose the kiddies get to use it for some purpose.

Are there seats inside SW6- 915 for the employees, visitors, or what?

Again, a shelter is needed.

Bob in Perth.

The seats inside the tram appear to be unchanged from service days, as far as I could see.

Chairs are scattered around outside the tram and the doors do not seem to have been changed for easy opening (no door knobs).  This makes me think that it is not often entered.

Taxi Box have two trams.

The other one i 985 and is located at another of their locations.

I think the intention is the use them as 'quaint' lunch rooms /
gathering spaces for their staff.

985 has had some vandalism damage and I have assitsed with some
replacement windows.
