The tram really needs to be put under a shelter I think. It won’t last out in the open I suspect.
As one of the 55 trams upgraded with improved braking etc 992 also has a fibre glass roof.
That means it is pretty well protected from the rot problem of canvas and wood cob=nstruction.
The people who have fixed up 992 (I think mainly parents of the school kids) have done a great job.
I attach a pic of what 992 looked like when leaving Newport.
