Work has begun on preparing foundations for the new tramways in
WilliamSon Rd and Hampstaed Rd for connection to the new Maidstone depot.
Around 500m of street track will be built from the Wests Rd reserve to
the depot entrance.
First pic looks west along Williamson towards Hampstead Rd.
Second pic looks west along Williamson Rd towards the entry to the
tramway reserve parallel to Wests Rd. As you can see, the route 82
trams are still running. They will be replaced by buses from Saturday
15th of November to Tuesday 26th inclusive.
The work is scheduled to be finished by 27th of November.

I've been trying to hold back my joke that Kent is an awful long way to travel to a depot, but there we go.
