Natis document copy for Namibia

Hi All

Must the Natis copy document be certified? If yes that means you need to go to the licensing department in person and will they certify it there?

Hi Francois,

I travel with the original, a certified copy and a non-certified copy - at different occasions I've been asked for different version, depending where you are. 

If the vehicle is financed, you will never have the original, it will be with the finance company. The bank usually just email a copy to you, and it is usually not certified - to have it certified you need to take the original and the copy to a police office or any commissioner of oaths, to certify it for you. So usually a financed vehicle only has a non-certified copy with them.

If it is not certified, you will have the original - I keep that one safely tucked away in the car, and use a good clear colour copy in an A4 book with plastic sleeves at the border, with all the other papers that could possibly needed. My TIP goes back into that folder and I show that at checkpoints. I've never had problems this way.

was in Namibia last year, and while i had colour copies (uncertified) not once was I asked for them Or for that matter my ZA sticker or the TARE and NETT value signs 

was stopped several times and just courteous friendly Mr/Mrs plods !! ( who were more bored and wanted something to do to stay awake--- ed comment)
