Spitzkoppe Namibia

Hi All

We plan to camp one night close to Spitzkoppe - any recommendations?

• Spitzkoppe Community Rest Camp
• Spitzkoppe Mountain Tented camp & Campsites
• Spitzkoppe Rest Camp (is this the same as community rest camp?)

We will be 4 vehicles, 10 people. We will arrive early from Swakop, so will have the day and next morning to explore before we leave for Ugab River Rhino camp.

Hi François,

We camped at Spitzkoppe Restcamp. It is very rudimentary (no water, only pit toilet) but absolutely beautiful and stunning and best location to explore the area! Can absolutely recommend it!!

Cannot say for sure if it is the same as the community camp.

Francois, 

The community camp.  The campsites are right next to and around the koppe. Close to the rock arch. 

No water at the campsites but water and showers at the entrance gate.

The tented camp is more luxurious and expensive.

Use the community camp. The tented camp and campsite is expensive. I am sure you will have enough water and all the rest while you travel in a convoy of 4 vehicles.
