I am looking for suggestions, with awesome stop over spots, to drive from Savuti to Cape Town. Don't mind via Namibia. I will have done Maun to Savuti via 3rd Bridge & Khwai, so don't want to do this again. Also don't want to drive Kasani to Francistown
Leave Savuti on 8 September. Need to Be in Cape Town by 12 September

Thanks in advance

We did a trip in 2008 basically in reverse of what you may want to do.

Coming from Jo'burg we travelled up the A2 and bush camped at Maneke Pan the first night. From there we travelled to Drotski caves (now valled Gcwihaba caves. from there we went to Drotsky's Lodge on the Okavango river. From there on to Shakawe and caught the ferry over the Okavango and on to Seronga and picked up the Transit road through to the Savuti Channel and then on out at Linyanti gate. Mostly bush camping after Drotsky's Lodge. There are some fancy Lodges around there that were not too happy with us but didn't force us to leave.

If you want a trip log and can provide it.

Geoff

lots of water in delta now and selinda likely heavily flooded. I suggest kasane caprivi and home via campsites like nakatwa,  white sands or ndurenkoro. long drive
