BEST Saturday Academy

Please join us for our first online BEST program. We will be focusing on the expanded core curriculum. These skills focus on everything outside of normal academics. This includes cooking, orientation and mobility, braille and many other things.

All lessons are taught by qualified blind adults and supervised by a certified teacher of the visually impaired.

Lessons will be provided remotely via Zoom.

COST: $25 per session

$150 for all 9 sessions

It is important that you register early. Each session you register for will come with materials that will be shipped to your door for your child to use. Every participant will receive a monthly box of supplies to participate in the program.

Michele, 

Usually our age range is 4-12 but we are accepting a wider range of ages for this program because it is virtual. We can be more flexible because all the kids will be participating at home with help from their families.We will be doing a video ahead of time for you to watch at home and then we will be discussing the video and doing an activity together over video. In October, we will be talking about labeling appliances and then we are going to do a kitchen scavenger hunt. I hope you will apply!
