It was the 69th anniversary of Toscanini's death. But also on the social there was no remembering (I did a post yesterday). Maybe, due to the fact that, as Heraclitus said, panta réi, everything is overcome.
Ok there was a 10% discount on Pristine's remasters ;-)) At least Rose remembered the Maestro.
A warm ciao to all the friends

Hi, thanks for your email. I consider AT to be with C Kleiber the 20th century's greatest conductor. Although I also love loads of other conductors.

But my interest in him is based mainly on his recordings, new material and remasterings, not his life.

I have a collection of 135 CDRs that derive from various sources and probably include unpublished stuff. However I really don't have the patience to go through and sort out what isn't available.

In addition I will be in contact with the estate of close friend who had AT commercial and master tapes.

With regard to anything that derives from the LP era then Bob at HDTT would be the obvious point of call given his two AT releases in DSD128 and 256 blow everyone else's out of the water.

However, I hasten to add, that this is very much ifs and buts.

Rob

I prefer to remember March 25, 1867 - the Maestro's Birth Date. Coming up VERY shortly, his 159th.
