Hi,

is there a reason why there is no client side "start-look" hook?

Would otherwise be usful to prepopulate the lock message dialog (for
instance with the working copy path, to facilitate finding the lock WC
for people like me who have dozens of them 8-)

you can drag the file that's listed for lock to the message box - the path will be inserted.

I would like to automat that, so nobody can forget to do it.
The use case here is colleagues forgetting to unlock some seldom
touched file.
When the next one comes along trying to lock the file, it often is not
easy to find the working copy to check if there are pending changes
(or even if it still exists). 8-)

And it can be done with the pre-lock hook too, but then users don't
see the resulting lock message beforehand.

No real need though, just curious why there is a start-commit hook,
but no start-lock. For both one might want to pre-assemble a message.
