Win11 .dlls non-accessible after update

Hi,

A few days ago I had an issue upon updating a folder,  I've attached a picture below.

I also couldn't clean-up for the same reason, access to libssl-1_1.dll was denied. 

This was fixed by removing the .dll files from the folder, doing a clean-up and update, which restored an appropriate version of the .dll files.

This access is denied problem seems to be connected with the Win11 22H2 update KB4023057, as that also introduced some .dll errors with other programs.

Was this most likely caused by a fault in the new update, or did they purposefully change how certain file types act from now on?

I would bet that the problem is a virus scanner on your end. Those react sometimes rather violently if they discover files with ssl in the name and lock those files to fully scan them.

Add your working copies to the virus scanners exclusion list. Otherwise you'll get more such problems.

The files are already excluded from both the external and microsoft antivirus. While the first one it caught did indeed have ssl in the filename, other ones didn't, the only common aspect was that the names started with 'lib' and were .dll files.
