Deselecting filtered revisions not saved (bug?)

Hey,

So I scouted around around for any other reports of this problem and found this:

As I said: you search for something, then select it.
You clear the search filter, and all your selections are kept.
Now you search for something different, and select something else.
You clear the search filter again, and all your selections from before are kept as well, meaning you have now both selections from the first search and the second one.

 

The problem I'm having is it doesn't save the deselections I make when filtering to the unfiltered selections.

For instance, while merging:

I'd select all revisions between certain dates, then I'll filter for something like  "2.10" (relating to a version I'm not wanting in).

Then I'd deselect specific revisions here that I don't want (sometimes there are filename matches I want to keep), but if I then clear the filter they are still selected. 

This very much feels like a bug. I can't push "OK" in the filtered view either, as it only gets the selected filtered revisions.

Just bumping this as it would help me considerably. To rephrase to make it easier to understand:

- Select a bunch of commits

- Search for something that's part of what you selected

- Deselect it/them (with Ctrl+Click)

- Clear search, but it still has everything selected that you chose at the start including what you just deselected.

It would make sense for those commits you deselected to store being deselected when you clear the search.

Huge QoL for being able to select a lot of commits at once, and specifically deselect what you don't want using searches.
