I run a Windows 10 VM in Hyper-V on a Windows 10 laptop. From the Windows 10 VM I need to synchronize a repository who is somewhere on a server and share it with the physical machine and I can't use a virtual switch (IP addresses are often reassigned)

To solve this, I mount a VHDX file on the physical machine and share it with the VM. Goal is to store and update the repository on the VHDX file.

When updating the repository with TortoisSVN, I get the "A device attached to the system is not functioning" error.

What I tried:
- store the SVN in a folder in the VM and update : it works
- desactivate Antivirus on both laptop and VM

I don't know if this error come from TortoiseSVN or from a subsystem?

I need help to investigate and fix this problem... Could someone help me?

Thank you for your help!

Best Regards

Alain

Can you try to setup the virtual switch for static IP addresses?
